It’s your first physio appointment for an injury (shoulder “tweak”, hip “pinch”, knee “twinge” whatever it may be). You’ve never been to physiotherapy before and have no idea what to expect. 

You’ve probably put off coming to physio because  you:

  1. Were hoping the issue would fix itself, or with the help of YouTube. 
  2. Don’t want to spend money you “may not have to”.
  3. Don’t think anything will actually help your situation improve.

Is physio a quick fix?

No, but nothing worthwhile is! There are stages and in order to truly improve your quality of life and your particular situation, it will take time and stages to heal properly and get you back to golfing, kayaking, or taking your dog for a nice long walk.

So, is physio for you?

If you are in pain and can’t find relief then YES. Invest in YOUR life. 

When you want to watch TV, what do you do? You have to buy a subscription to Netflix or Disney (etc) and you are investing in some “chill time” for you and the family that helps with your mental health. But when it comes to being in pain, you just grin and bear it, right? Well I am here to tell you that enough is enough! If you can’t do the things you LOVE with the people you LOVE because you are in pain, it’s time to see a professional who can get you back to your normal – or perhaps, even BETTER than your normal.
